The hard rain here today had just stopped. Someone once said, in our lives we're either heading into a crisis, in the middle of a crisis, or coming out of a crisis. No doubt life is full of high, lows and in betweens. The highs are great! The in betweens tend to be routine, where we can get comfortable. But a crisis can test even the strongest faith and cause us to stumble and fall into despair and hopelessness. Are you walking in a crisis?

... stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is them proof of perdition (loss, destruction), but to you of salvation, and that from God. In Philippians 1: 27, 28, Paul is writing to the saints in Jesus in Philippi. He tells them to stand fast in their faith. What does that look like?

Do you believe that you are a good person or a bad person? I can morph into both in one day - in one hour! Either way, each of us need Jesus! All. The. Time. Evangelist and author David Jeremiah writes, "No one is too bad to be saved, any more than any one is too good to need a Savior. God says to each of us, 'Behold, now is the day of salvation.'" 2 Cor. 6:2

My heart is lighter today, but I'll admit, I've been in a place that I don't like to be... a bit lost and in need of encouragement. The reasons are probably no more than many of you are facing, but here's the thing. Usually, I am the encourager. Encouragement/Exhortation is one of my spiritual gifts. I love encouraging others. I am encouraged when I encourage others.

Are you listening to your negative thoughts, maybe even marinating in them? Are you spewing out that ugly to other people? The Bible says the words we say come straight from our hearts, our words actually reflect our spiritual conditions. However, when we are followers of Christ, God is in us!

In February 2019, we moved from Pensacola to a small Alabama town east of Birmingham, so that my husband could continue his long career with the power company. We spoke many prayers prior to our move and were absolutely certain God was directing our steps. God and His church are important in our lives, so after settling into our new home we began a church search.
